Our friend and long-time former Coordinator Gary Mahoney died unexpectedly in November 2014.
We can’t do justice here to what he achieved and brought to our group and his community. However we will try our best to continue his work.
Gary was well known in local and environmental circles as the long-time coordinator of Liverpool Friends of the Earth and as an air quality manager at Sefton Council.
Some of his friends and colleagues from both organisations, with the support of Gary’s family, have come together to set up a debate in his memory, which we hope to make an annual fixture on Merseyside. His friends at Sefton Council also arranged a bike ride in his name, as Gary was a keen cyclist.
