Local action to cut CO2 will boost the local economy, create jobs and slash your fuel bills. Councils have a big part to play in tackling climate change and we want them to do much more right now.

The Get Serious About CO2 campaign demands councils play their part in tackling climate change. It calls on them to reduce local emissions by at least 40% by 2020.

This is a national campaign and you can find more information here. The Liverpool group has been pursuing this locally. Within the context of the deepest cuts to City Council budgets this is not easy, but we are keen to support the development of Liverpool as a Low Carbon leader.
