  1. Gary was an inspiration to us all when he joined Friends of the Earth (Liverpool) Ltd way back in the 80’s. He quickly established himself as an enthusiastic and reliable, knowledgeable and willing part of the team. He led work on pollution in the River Alt long before it was popular to highlight that subject. I was deeply saddened to learn of his death, and hope that those of you in the 2015 Friends of the Earth (Liverpool) Ltd fellowship will keep his work going, and his name alive. He deserves nothing less.
